THE EFFECTIVE CHOIR DIRECTOR
Choral directors, also known as Choir or Music directors, often manage various aspects of the vocal, and
sometimes instrumental, performances of musical groups, such as choirs, other ensembles, etc.
Some of their tasks may include composing music, leading performances and performing administrative duties. Demonstrated ability and experience in choral music is generally required for this career.
Talented, dedicated and experienced singers are important to a good church choir. But without strong leadership, a choir is just a group of individuals doing their own thing instead of a cohesive assembly of well-blended voices who can lead a congregation in worship.
If you're ready to move your choir to a higher standard of performance, focus on your own skills, preparation and attitude.
